Gubbare Wala Story

Have you ever wondered how stories are made? I have.. and i would share what happened today outside Lotus Panache, Sector 110.

The Gubbarewala with his daughter approached me to buy balloons as he wanted to buy wheat flour for his family. I enquired about his family for which he replied that he has 5 kids. The girl in picture is the eldest. He stays in Sector 37 (Noida) and had come here to sell balloons but due to the chilling weather, he could not sell his balloons and was going back home dejected.

I asked him to wait for sometime to get him flour and clothes. He was a little hesitant to let me go without money because he thought I might not return. I assured him and asked him to wait for 10 mins.

I came back home and took warm clothes for him and his entire family, few Parle-G biscuit packets, footwear and wheat flour. I am short of words to describe how happy he was and how happy was his daughter wearing a new warm & cozy jacket. She wore it immediately.

Today I realised how important it is to ‘ask for help’. Had he not stopped and asked me to buy his balloons, his family would have slept hungry. Had he not told me how cold it was for his young kids, they would have slept shivering in cold.
