'ARAD' evolved as an idea when a group of friends were discussing the role money plays in society and the importance of each rupee. Imagine how much money can be collected if every Indian (India has a population of over 1.30 billion people) donates a rupee everyday. Millions of people die of hunger while the rich throw food in garbage. People die in winters due to lack of clothing while people have so many clothes that they don't even repeat it in a season. Private schools insist on new books to each student while the poor is not even able to afford the used books. This has been the way society functions and we are here to change the rules.
A Rupee A Day is an NGO formed basically to help the poorest of the poor. I am sure we all pause for a cause and help people in need whenever required.
But then why #ARAD ?
We want you to be the part of our NGO because we need you, we need our friends and their friends who would donate just a Rupee a Day so that many many people don’t sleep hungry , so that many many senior citizens who really don’t have anyone to care for them are able to fulfill their basic needs , so that their are no rag picking kids around us , so that you don’t see anyone begging at the signals.
The reasons are many but the aim is only one..
Let us all live a respectable life and basic needs of food, cloth and shelter are met.
We would really appreciate if you become the one for someone.
